Having felt freed from classic forms upon discovering free verse, my challenge to write in a variety of forms is turning me inside out with frustration. The Diamante poetry form expresses my vexation:
forms
stultifying, aggravating
surrender, comply, acquiesce
chess, church, poetry, family
diminish, restrict, curtail
demanding, expanding
structure
